4M 2011 - Stuttgart, Germany, 8-10th November

4M2011 The 4M2011 submission site is OPEN. Due to a number of requests for extensions, the deadline for submission of full (4-page) papers is now extended to 21st April 2011. Can we please ask that this deadline is respected by all prospective authors. The Call for Papers for the 4M2011 Conference is published and available to download from the conference webpages. Please distribute the Call for Papers to all those who may be interested to enable our conference to continue to grow. We can also report that the first invited speakers have been confirmed and the first sponsors have been signed up.

Implantable, mm-scale computing

A prototype implantable eye pressure monitor for glaucoma patients is believed to contain the first complete millimeter-scale computing system. And a compact radio that needs no tuning to find the right frequency could be a key enabler to organizing millimeter-scale systems into wireless sensor networks. Full story

Summer School in Micro Mechanical System Design & Manufacturing

The dates for this years Summer School at DTU are announced. It commences on 20th June 2011, for two weeks. A limited number of bursaries are available to 4M member organisations. You can read about previous summer schools here.
