The MicroMan4Health project (Data-centric MicroManufacturing Platform Towards Added Value in the Health Sector) is an EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network coordinated by KU Leuven (Belgium). The project brings together 15 leading universities, research institutes and industrial partners across Europe and the USA to develop the next generation of data-centric micromanufacturing technologies for healthcare and MedTech applications.
We are recruiting 15 Doctoral Candidates (PhD positions) to undertake interdisciplinary research in advanced micromanufacturing processes including laser micromachining, micro-EDM, electrolyte jet machining, micro additive manufacturing, micro moulding, wire EDM, laser welding, precision milling, IIoT, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and data-driven manufacturing. The research will address applications such as medical implants, microfluidic diagnostic devices, neural interfaces, dental components and drug-delivery systems.
Each doctoral candidate will receive comprehensive scientific training through the MSCA Doctoral Network, including international secondments with industrial partners, multidisciplinary research, transferable skills training and collaboration with world-leading experts in micromanufacturing, digital manufacturing and biomedical engineering.
Vacancies will be published on a rolling basis between participating organisations. Interested candidates are encouraged to regularly visit the project website for the latest opportunities and application deadlines.
