This Summer School will explore the emerging technologies in this field with theoretical and practical sessions by taking direction from the European Integ-Micro Project, an ambitious initiative that has been able to develop five innovative platforms that redesign the state of the art in the industry.
For the 6th consecutive year, DTU is organizing the PhD Summer School on "Micro Mechanical Systems Design and Manufacturing".
The main aim of the course is to build a new knowledge corpus applied to micro scale (most of the students already have some manufacturing or mechanical engineering basic knowledge) and develop new skills, including projects and teamwork.
The 2010 edition of DTU summerschool in “micro mechanical system design and manufacture” gathered twenty students from all over the world!
This Summer School is a real opportunity to go into the microworld and discover innovative approaches and tools.
Micromechanical components play an increasing role in micro systems. The use of metals, polymers and ceramics for miniature components requires new product development methods as well as manufacturing technologies, where product dimensions may range from micrometre to millimetre.
The Summer School, once again hosted by DTU, takes place this year from 15th - 26th June 2009. Please note these dates down and consider sending your students.
ICOMM 2014 - Supporting the 4M Association
The 9th International Conference on MicroManufacturing (ICOMM 2014) organised by the International Institution of Micro Manufacturing (I2M2), and supported by the 4M Association, will be held in Singapore March 25-28th, 2014. It is hosted jointly by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS).
