4M2011 - Stuttgart, Germany, 8-10th November

The second stage of the 4M2011 peer review is complete. All successful authors will hear from organisers by Monday 5th September 2011. Authors have a final chance to re-upload their final papers as a Word document until 16th September 2011. Please respect the deadline for this process. Five invited speakers have now been confirmed and seven sponsors have signed up.

ICOMM 2012

Our colleagues in the USA, the International Institution of Micro Manufacturing (I2M2), have announced the dates for their next conference, ICOMM 2012. It takes place from 12-14 March 2012. Deadline for abstracts is 1st October 2011.

PhD Scholarship available at K.U.Leuven

One PhD scholarship position is available at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Mechanical Department, PMA division, Belgium. The project title is: "Precision manufacturing technologies towards zero defect production". More information.

ESAFORM 2012

The 15th ESAFORM conference will be held on March 14th-16th, 2012, hosted by the Chair of Manufacturing Technology, Erlangen, Germany. One of the objectives of this mini-symposium is to get together the apparently different topics of nano-structured materials (including ultrafine grained and nanocrystalline materials) and microforming (including sheet and bulk metal forming).

Minam Survey

The MINAM 2.0 Coordinating and Supporting Action will update the MINAM SRA by means of a survey. You are invited to complete the MINAM Survey online.

Integ-Micro seminar

A seminar on micro-manufacturing organised and hosted by the Integ-Micro project will take place in Hannover on Thursday 22nd September 2011. The seminar is free-of-charge and includes a welcome coffee reception.

EUMINAfab Gender Survey

4M Members and anyone involved in MNT reserach are invited to participate in the EUMINAfab Gender Survey. The survey was developed to evaluate the situation of female scientists in the European Micro Nano Technology (MNT) community.
