Microalliance

The "Michigan fReiburg kyOto" "MicRO" Alliance meets once a year to exchange ideas. The most recent meeting took place in Freiburg on Monday 27 July 2009 and was hosted by 4M Association members IMTEK. You can see the programme and a list of participants on their website. New booklet about laser micro-machining

A new booklet that illustrates the exciting possibilities offered by laser manufacturing techniques is being made available free of charge by Laser Micromachining Limited (LML). The 32 page booklet aimed at designers and engineers working in microtechnology industries can be obtained from the LML website.

4M Summer School 2009

This took place in Copenhagen in June'09, during the final days of the 4M Network of Excellence. Organised by DTU this Summer School was once again a very well run, attended and received event with a lot of hard work packed into some very busy days - read the full report.

Nanoaccess@Cardiff

The Annual Meeting of current and potential users of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Equipment at Cardiff (Nanoaccess@Cardiff) takes place on 6th October 2009 at Manufacturing Engineering Centre (MEC), Cardiff University.

EUMINAfab

EUMINAfab is the first European Research Infrastructure on multimaterial micro and nanotechnology. It offers open and no-cost access to state of the art fabrication and characterisation technologies for a multitude of functional materials. Access is based on an online submission of proposals. The First Call for proposals to access the portfolio of technologies and expertise offered by EUMINAfab opens on 1st September 2009. Read more.
